How long have you been working on your website?
Do you know the phrase “the cobbler’s children have no shoes”? I know it all too well! Would you believe it took me 3 years to design my own site. 3! For that whole time I used one of the basic themes that come with the WordPress install. I barely had a banner, no photos of me and very little copy to speak of. Talk about embarrassing!
So when I say I get it, I do.
Have you been struggling to get your website done?
Has it been on your to do list for months? Maybe years?
Do you sit down to plan and swear you’re going to get it done this quarter?
The happy news is: IT’S NOT YOU.
It’s hard. But why is it so hard?
When you sit down to work on your website you’re not working on a website, as in, it’s not just one solid mass. You’re working on the elements that make up a website.
Websites are made up of content, design, code and logistics (funnels and forms and SEO, oh my!).
It also needs to represent your brand visually in a way that feels authentic.
Not only that but you’re trying to fit building your website in-between the work that needs to get done: client calls, networking, invoicing, sales. You know – running a business?
No wonder websites are overwhelming. Who knew so much went into making them work?
Don’t let overwhelm and not knowing where to start hold you back from having a finished, polished website to represent your business.
You make enough decisions about your business from day to day – don’t add your website to the mix and do it alone.
